sorry I’m not home right now, I’m walking into spider webs

I have been at work for seven and a half hours already. I still have five to go. My fingers and upper arms are sore from changing out a 20V power supply and controller for the trim magnets in the Linac.

Yes, I know that that last sentence means absolutely nothing to most of my friends. Suffice it to say, it was a job that required a fair amount of dexterity and a little electrical know-how.

Anyway, I am tired. And ready to go home and back to bed. Yes, I know that I actually got 8 hours of sleep for a change. I don’t care. My bed is calling me.

ETA: OK. I have had coffee now and feel much better. And you know what? I want to start writing again. It has been a long time. A very long time.

But that should wait until I actually have time. That will be sometime in December, I suspect. Maybe January.

Which upon reflection means that once again, NaNoWriMo is out. I wonder if I shall ever succeed in that challenge?

  1. If it’s any consolation, I’ve never managed to do NaNoWriMo properly either. I keep claiming the reasons are external, but it’s probably a mixture of external and my own inability to commit.
