At first I had trouble with this. I just am not that morbid. I rarely think about my own death and certainly not my own funeral. But after a great deal of thought, I came up with a few. And after some more thought I realized something else.

I plan on outliving all of you.

So, since (barring accident, disaster, or apocalypse) none of you will make it to this event, I might as well share my soundtrack for my final party. I have not settled on the order of this playlist yet. The only thing that is certain is which song is going to be last. I told a friend about it, and he said it might be the most evil choice ever! How could I resist after a comment like that?

  1. Squirrel Nut Zippers – Hell
  2. El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico – La Muerte
  3. Héctor Lavoe & Willie Colón – Todo Tiene Su Final
  4. Harry Belafonte – Zombie Jamboree
  5. Carol Burnett – So Long
  6. It’s a Small World

Actually, there was one song that I could not find on YouTube. Bobby McFerrin – Mañana Iguana. That is an absolutely perfect song to include. Oh well. I guess that I am not allowed to die since my list in incomplete! 😉
